about irwin hartshorn
Irwin Hartshorn Group have been servicing the Canberra and NSW regions for the past 35+ years.
The Irwin & Hartshorn Partnership was formed by Tony Irwin and Ron Hartshorn in 1985 with one rigid truck and one excavator which operated out of a small, leased yard in Fyshwick ACT.
In 1996 due to the continuing success of demolition projects it was time for the partnership to expand and evolve into the company known as Irwin & Hartshorn Pty Ltd, and a move to extensive facilities on a 22,000m² block in Hume.
Irwin & Hartshorn Pty Ltd were now not only taking on the small residential demolition projects in the local area but had also been awarded contracts for larger commercial demolition in the Canberra and regional New South Wales area, including projects such as Blandford House in Batemans Bay and the RSL Club in Merimbula.
The Irwin & Hartshorn team were never ones to rest on their laurels and realising there was an opportunity to grow further, Irwin & Hartshorn Pty Ltd began to undertake transport work.
On 1st July 2021 Irwin Hartshorn Group (IHG) took over all the assets as both Tony and Ron formally retired from the industry after over 55 years of service.
Today the IHG directors are Andrew Irwin and Mark Hartshorn which formally moves the business through to the second generation.
With over 30 years in the building industry and over 20 years specifically in transport and demolition they are excited for the new chapter and continuing to build on firm foundations.
